# Bachelor-/ Master Thesis: »Optimization of CAM Planning for Efficient Milling with Barrel Tools«
As part of your thesis, you will investigate how forces during the milling of thin-walled workpieces with barrel tools can be reliably predicted and compensated to ensure efficient CAM planning. This will include machining trials, data acquisition and analysis.
**What you will do**
* Conduct machining trials to determine relevant parameters for force modeling
* Simulate machining forces using an existing modelling framework
* Create an optimized CAM plan utilizing predicted forces
**What you bring to the table**
* You are studying mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics or a comparable subject area
* Basic knowledge of machining, force modeling, and technical mechanics is an advantage
* Ideally initial experience with CAM planning software (e.g. Rhino 3D or NX)
* Good language skills in German and/or English
**What you can expect**
* Professional supervision and collaboration within a dedicated team
* Becoming an integral part of the team from the very beginning, with the opportunity to contribute your ideas
* Involvement in innovative research and development projects with renowned industrial partners
* Access to state-of-the-art machinery equipped with extensive measurement technology
We value and promote the diversity of our employees' skills and therefore welcome all applications - regardless of age, gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion, ideology, disability, sexual orientation and identity. Severely disabled persons are given preference in the event of equal suitability.
