# AV/VTC Technician **BWD GERMANY STUTTGART** | **Full time** AV/VTC Technician Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local\* \* \* **The Opportunity:** CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Audio Video (AV) / Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS. **Responsibilities:** * The AV/VTC Technician will be responsible for performing actions in support of USAFRICOM’s AV/VTC ecosystem. Specifically: * Support all equipment leveraged in the delivery of VTC services. This equipment will include route/switch devices, firewalls, UPS’s, encryption devices, etc. * Ensure system availability outside of approved maintenance windows. * Apply system and network hardening actions as directed. * Perform remote and direct customer support for all VTC related issues. * Perform preventative maintenance and work to detect faults before they escalate to user impacting events. Maintain software and firmware on VTC devices to ensure optimal performance and compatibility. Create and update user, and admin, facing standard operating procedure documentation for complex configurations and actions. Leverage SolarWinds and other monitoring tools to improve quality of service, identify faults, and restore VTC service outages. * The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client manager. **Qualifications:** *Required:* * Currently hold an adjudicated TS/SCI clearance and be able to maintain * CCNA – Video (Collaboration) * BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience TESA Eligibility * IAT Level II or greater (Security +/CASP/etc) * Proficient use of project related software applications: MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, etc. * Strong technical writing, documentation, presentation and organizational skills *​* *Desired:* ITIL v3 – Foundation * Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs * Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards * Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches - **Pay Range**: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
