# Associate Director, Asset Design and Innovation 80-100% (m/f/d)
**CH - Visp** | **Full time**
Based in Visp, Switzerland, and working in close collaboration with cross-functional global teams—including Global Engineering, MSAT, Quality, and the Advanced Synthesis Strategy Team— The Associate Director, Asset Design and Innovation (m/f/d) will lead the development and implementation of innovative, cost-efficient, and compliant manufacturing solutions. Your focus will be on driving technological advancements and asset design to support strategic growth projects and the transformation of legacy plants across the Advanced Synthesis network.
### Key Responsibilities
* Drive innovation in asset design and manufacturing technologies to ensure state-of-the-art, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
* Evaluate and implement solutions that optimize operational expenditure (OpEx) and lifecycle costs.
* Create and own the respective business case
* Build and lead cross-functional, matrixed project teams from concept through execution.
* Ensure integration of solutions into strategic growth projects while maintaining cGMP compliance and adherence to safety standards, including machinery directives.
* Share best practices and establish a manufacturing innovation platform across the Advanced Synthesis network.
* Support the Director of Operations in defining and executing strategic transformation initiatives.
### Key Requirements
* Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biologics, or a related scientific discipline.
* Proven experience in leading complex projects in a matrix organization within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong knowledge in technology, engineering, regulatory compliance, and operational safety.
* Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and delivering against performance targets.
* Innovative mindset with the ability to think beyond traditional boundaries; experience with Lonza systems and processes is a plus.
* Fluent in English; German proficiency is preferred.
