Assistant Camp Manager(m/w/x)

## Job Description The Assistant Camp Manager is expected to collaborate with the Camp Manager in ensuring the efficient management and smooth running of the camp. Through working closely with the Camp Manager in supervising teaching and activity staff, the Assistant Camp Manager shares the responsibility for meeting Alpadia’s ambition of an enjoyable and developing camp experience for all students, in an atmosphere that is both respectful, inspiring and safe. The Assistant Camp Manager is directly responsible for supervising activities and excursions programme and managing the Activity Leader team, creating activity schedules, managing risks, corresponding with external activity partners, and more. ## Qualifications **Essential Criteria** * Experience in staff management and leadership in a professional setting. * Experience working with children or young people in a professional capacity * **Some German proficiency (spoken B1-B2 minimum)** and ability to liaise with activity providers * Fluency in English * High level self-sufficiency, growth mindset, and proven track record of solution-oriented problem solving skills * High physical, mental and emotional resilience * High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups * Availability during management- and staff training in Berlin (June 10-20, 2025), and the entire summer season (June 21-August 10) **Desired Criteria** * Fluency in German and English * Experience in outdoor education or summer camps * Driver’s License, and ability to drive a minivan ## Additional Information **What we offer** * A weekly summer salary of EUR 810-900 EUR, DOE * 4 days of pre-summer management training, plus 5 days of general training on language immersion, child development, outdoor facilitation and solution-focused, positive behavior support and conflict resolution techniques * First Aid and CPR Certification * Full Room and Board with a private room during the entirety of the summer * Travel Reimbursement up to 160 EUR * Recommendation Bonuses for other staff members that you send our way * a chance to grow and develop your skills as a manager while working in a team of dedicated youth work professionals throughout the summer.
