Apprenticeship as CNC Machinist (M/F/T)

Dortmund, Germany | Part time

As a trainee machinist (M/F/T), you will learn the basics of metalworking, including turning, milling and grinding, and operate various cutting machines. You read and interpret technical drawings and carry out quality controls. The training combines vocational school with practical experience in the company and usually lasts 3.5 years. Technical understanding, craftsmanship and precise work are required.

Duration of training:

Usually 3.5 years. Vocational school combined with practical training in the company. Possibility to shorten the training with good performance.

Training program:

  • Learn Basics: Learn the basic skills of metalworking, including turning, milling and grinding.

  • Machine operation: Operation and maintenance of various cutting machines under the guidance of experienced specialists.

  • Technical Drawings: Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work plans.

  • Quality control: Carrying out quality controls and dimensional checks on manufactured components.

  • Occupational safety: Learning and applying occupational safety and environmental protection standards in the workshop.

Your profile:

  • At least a good secondary school leaving certificate

  • Technical understanding and craftsmanship.

  • Good mathematical skills, particularly in the area of geometry.

  • Ability to work precisely and carefully.

  • Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn.
