# Aircraft Mechanic 2 CH-47 - A&P or FCC - Illesheim, Germany
**Germany-Illesheim** | **Full time** | **On-site**
The **CH-47 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (FAA A&P Or FCC)** performs maintenance and inspects on CH-47 systems maintaining to FAA standards.
* **FAA A&P Certificate OR FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3) is Required.**
* **Requirements** **With Valid FAA (A&P**) **Certificate** Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, two (2) years of Rotary Wing experience and Two (2) years on the assigned aircraft **CH-47** Mission Design Series (MDS) is Required.
* **US Citizenship is Required** to obtain the Security Clearance, a NACI T1 Public Trust.
* Perform the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance with a primary expertise as a **CH-47** mechanic, repair functions including assembly and modification on a variety of Army and other DoD cross-service aircraft, their major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.
* Install, connect, and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission: install and align fuselage parts; balance, align, and install tail rotor assemblies; rig complete flight control systems.
* Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
* Make operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and powered ground equipment.
* Inspect and troubleshoot to determine cause of malfunctions; disassemble to point of trouble; adjust, repair, realign or replace defective component or assembly.
* Must be able to properly use a variety of common hand tools and measuring devices such as gauges torque wrenches and scales and test, measurement and diagnostic equipment related to specific aircraft models.
**Requirements:**
* High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
* Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is required.
* **A valid FAA A&P Certificate OR FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3) is Required.**
* **Requirements** **With valid FAA (A&P**) **Certificate** Two (2) years aviation maintenance experience, two (2) years of Rotary Wing experience and Two (2) years on the assigned aircraft **CH-47** Mission Design Series (MDS) is Required.
* All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
* **Without an FAA A&P** certificate;**Must have or obtain an FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3)** AND have the following years of experience. Three (3) years Aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and two (2) years on the assigned (**CH-47)** Mission Design Series (MDS).
* **(\*If willing and able to obtain an FCC License, please discuss with your Recruiter).**
* Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, (NAC-I T1) Public Trust. \*\* **US Citizenship is required** to obtain the NAC-I Clearance.
* Interim NACI approval is required prior to deployment.
* Valid **US Passport is Required** for deployment to Germany.
**Germany Specific:**
* TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.
* Travel: As required in support of task order.
**Knowledge & Skills**
* Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
* Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work tasks.
* Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
* Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
* Must have skill in reading, applying and interpreting technical data.
**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
* Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
* Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
* Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
* Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
