On a day-to-day basis you will: * Evaluate, select, fine-tune, and integrate AI/ML models for contract review and legal publishing, focusing on maximizing performance with existing models * Develop expertise in NLP models, LLM-based solutions, and knowledge extraction from legal documents * Improve model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, applying best practices in AI deployment and optimization * Collaborate closely with product managers, legal experts, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AI * Stay up-to-date with the latest AI advancements and evaluate emerging technologies * Ensure that all AI projects adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, GDPR), and best practices in data privacy and security * Lead a team of AI engineers and software developers in Leipzig to provide guidance, support, and a culture of collaboration and growth ##### Your profile * 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in AI/ML model development (NLP is a plus) * Strong expertise in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) * Experience in leading teams and managing technical products * Deep understanding of AI model lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment. * Hands-on experience with vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and LLM fine-tuning * Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, and continuous deployment * Experience with cloud-based AI solutions (AWS, Azure) * Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to building AI-driven products * Fluent in English, and ideally German * Based in Leipzig * Quick learner with the courage and creativity to tackle complex challenges with the ability to work independently * Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills and a flexible mindset ##### Why us? * Opportunity to build cutting-edge AI solutions * Work with a talented and dedicated teams of engineers, researchers and legal engineers * Legal tech is still at an early stage and together with us, you can shape an entire new industry.
