Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline
- 6-8 years of experience in commercial strategy, corporate strategy, or business development within the CRO, CDMO, biotech, or pharma sector
- Proven track record of developing and executing commercial strategies
- Strong understanding of the drug discovery and development value chain
- Experience in portfolio design, pricing models, and offer structuring
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and strategic communication skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
Tasks
- Partner with segment leadership to define and execute commercial strategy
- Translate strategic pillars into actionable business plans
- Support development of annual and long-range business plans
- Identify growth opportunities in therapeutic areas and client segments
- Shape the commercial offering portfolio across CRO services and R&D solutions
- Collaborate with teams to define value propositions and pricing frameworks
- Support design of modular offerings for client flexibility
- Drive commercial readiness for new service capabilities
- Lead commercial performance tracking for the CRO segment
- Partner with Finance and Operations to model scenarios for margin improvement
- Develop performance dashboards for data-driven decision-making
- Identify underperforming areas and develop optimization strategies
- Monitor market trends and competitor strategies for commercial positioning
- Provide insights on emerging technologies to enhance value proposition
- Support market segmentation and targeting strategies
- Act as a bridge between Operations, Business Development, and Finance
- Partner with BD teams to refine go-to-market approaches
- Support strategic projects such as portfolio prioritization and process optimization
- Prepare and deliver strategic presentations for executive discussions
- Contribute to internal communication of the CRO commercial strategy
