Requirements

  • Proven quota-carrying Account Executive track record
  • SaaS or technology sales experience
  • Mid-market or enterprise deal closing experience
  • Familiarity with EU sales regulations (VAT, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with selling physical electronic devices
  • Experience selling through eCommerce/marketplace channels
  • Amazon DE sales experience
  • Success selling into DACH or EU region
  • Consistent target achievement
  • Strong self-management skills
  • Disciplined pipeline management
  • Accurate forecasting
  • Good CRM hygiene
  • Native-level German proficiency
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus
  • Initial onboarding and product-training in Houston, TX
  • Periodic travel to US for kickoffs/training
  • Regular travel within Europe for customer meetings
  • Travel for trade shows and industry events

Tasks

  • Own and close the full sales cycle for DACH accounts
  • Qualify leads, run demos, negotiate, and close deals
  • Work pipeline from the SDR team and self-sourced opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with EU regulations for each deal
  • Handle correct VAT treatment on quotes and contracts
  • Manage GDPR-compliant handling of prospect and customer data
  • Adhere to rules for in-region sales of physical electronic devices
  • Escalate legal or finance review needs
  • Maintain accurate and compliant product listings on regional platforms
  • Coordinate with marketing and ops on content, pricing, and fulfillment
  • Relay customer needs, buying behavior, and competitive activity
  • Report market signals to the Commercial Director and US executives
  • Identify localization needs for sales materials and demos
  • Recommend changes based on live deal experience
  • Partner with customer success on onboarding and retention
  • Collaborate on account satisfaction and expansion
  • Represent OptiSigns at DACH and European trade shows
  • Generate leads and build relationships at industry events
  • Contribute to a cohesive local team in Munich
  • Report to the Commercial Director
