Senior Account Executive - DACH & EU Markets(m/w/x)
Full sales cycle ownership for DACH accounts, including demos and EU regulatory compliance. Strong DACH market knowledge and sales cycle skills required. 26 days vacation, public transit subsidy, and choice of MacBook or Dell XPS.
Requirements
- Self-starter with ownership and drive
- Comfort with EU regulatory frameworks (VAT, GDPR)
- Working knowledge of DACH market
- Skilled in full sales cycle and customer needs tailoring
- Ability to feed market observations back to management

- Leadership by example in a local team
- Clear explanation of technical/regulatory concepts
- Proven quota-carrying Account Executive track record
- SaaS or technology sales experience
- Mid-market or enterprise deal closing experience
- Familiarity with EU sales regulations (VAT, GDPR)
- Familiarity with selling physical electronic devices
- Experience selling through eCommerce/marketplace channels
- Amazon DE sales experience
- Success selling into DACH or EU region
- Consistent target achievement
- Strong self-management skills
- Disciplined pipeline management
- Accurate forecasting
- Good CRM hygiene
- Native-level German proficiency
- Fluent English
- Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus
- Initial onboarding and product-training in Houston, TX
- Periodic travel to US for kickoffs/training
- Regular travel within Europe for customer meetings
- Travel for trade shows and industry events
Tasks
- Own and close the full sales cycle for DACH accounts
- Qualify leads, run demos, negotiate, and close deals
- Work pipeline from the SDR team and self-sourced opportunities
- Ensure compliance with EU regulations for each deal
- Handle correct VAT treatment on quotes and contracts
- Manage GDPR-compliant handling of prospect and customer data
- Adhere to rules for in-region sales of physical electronic devices
- Escalate legal or finance review needs
- Maintain accurate and compliant product listings on regional platforms
- Coordinate with marketing and ops on content, pricing, and fulfillment
- Relay customer needs, buying behavior, and competitive activity
- Report market signals to the Commercial Director and US executives
- Identify localization needs for sales materials and demos
- Recommend changes based on live deal experience
- Partner with customer success on onboarding and retention
- Collaborate on account satisfaction and expansion
- Represent OptiSigns at DACH and European trade shows
- Generate leads and build relationships at industry events
- Contribute to a cohesive local team in Munich
- Report to the Commercial Director
