Client pipeline development and sales demonstrations for virtual/hybrid meeting platform, at a conference tech platform, targeting academic/scholarly market. Experience selling to academic/scholarly market required. Stock options, flexible working hours.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant sales experience in a B2B environment
- Experience selling similar products to the publishers/academic/scholarly market
- Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with leading dynamic online demonstrations
- Natural relationship cultivation and sales orientation
- Ability to work independently while maintaining internal communication and collaboration
- Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software
- Ability to travel locally, domestically, and internationally
- Experience working in a start-up environment preferred
Tasks
- Build a qualified pipeline of potential clients through desk research
- Contact decision-makers and assess their needs
- Match client needs with appropriate services and products
- Develop a deep understanding of products and services
- Conduct independent sales demonstrations
- Respond to technical questions from clients
- Contribute to the creation of sales collateral and materials
- Manage the client journey from initial contact to contract signature
- Collaborate with all departments throughout the sales process
- Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and other data management tools
- Work towards individual, team, and company goals
- Support cross-functional team activities as required
