Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Experience selling similar products to the publishers/academic/scholarly market
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with leading dynamic online demonstrations
  • Natural relationship cultivation and sales orientation
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining internal communication and collaboration
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Ability to travel locally, domestically, and internationally
  • Experience working in a start-up environment preferred

Tasks

  • Build a qualified pipeline of potential clients through desk research
  • Contact decision-makers and assess their needs
  • Match client needs with appropriate services and products
  • Develop a deep understanding of products and services
  • Conduct independent sales demonstrations
  • Respond to technical questions from clients
  • Contribute to the creation of sales collateral and materials
  • Manage the client journey from initial contact to contract signature
  • Collaborate with all departments throughout the sales process
  • Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and other data management tools
  • Work towards individual, team, and company goals
  • Support cross-functional team activities as required
