Requirements
- •Advanced university degree or equivalent in remote sensing, meteorology, physics, or relevant discipline
- •Effective work in English and some knowledge of French
- •Knowledge of relevant imagery missions related to cloud properties and atmospheric parameters
- •Demonstrated expertise in physics of optical remote sensing of cloud properties and validation
- •Understanding of functioning, operation, and data processing of optical imager mission products
- •Experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning in geophysical remote sensing
- •Experience in developing scientific applications software in Python, IDL, and/or MATLAB
- •Experience with scientific development projects and working with user communities and researchers
- •Strengths in analysis, synthesis, and presentation
- •Good interpersonal skills for team interactions

- •Acquire and maintain an in-depth understanding of cloud and atmospheric products from satellite optical imagery
- •Support the definition, development, prototyping, and validation of new or enhanced cloud products
- •Interact with industry and supervise external scientific studies
- •Provide expertise on processing and analyzing atmospheric physical parameters
- •Contribute to calibration, validation, and monitoring of cloud products in an operational environment
- •Collaborate with mission partners and scientific communities
- •Advance understanding of innovative measurements of cloud properties
- •Prepare and develop applications for cloud-related products
- •Formulate detailed specifications for future satellite products and services
- •Support interactions with mission and international partners
- •Assist with Satellite Application Facilities (SAF) related activities
