Programme Manager Certification Performance and Relations(m/w/x)
Managing relationships with 50+ FSC accredited certification bodies and strengthening assurance system performance. At least 5 years in certification or related fields, with leadership experience, required. Hybrid work, 30 vacation days yearly.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent training/experience in relevant field
- At least 5 years professional experience in certification, quality management/assurance/control, standard development, natural resource management, business administration, government relations, or international relations
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and working with diverse, cross-functional groups
- Strong project and operational management skills
- Experience with financial administration and/or management
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate insights into action
- Readiness to take contested positions
- Aptitude to hold courageous conversations
- Strong ability to deal with conflict
- Proven ability to collaborate and build trust with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in a multi-cultural global team
- Experience in conducting or observing audits
- Proficiency in standard software package (MS Office)
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Additional language is a plus
Tasks
- Manage relationships with 50+ FSC accredited certification bodies
- Strengthen FSC assurance system performance, integrity, and credibility
- Encourage CB engagement in strategic areas beyond auditing
- Set objectives for Certification Performance and Relations team
- Ensure achievement of team objectives
- Develop workplans, budgets, and strategic approaches
- Manage functional issues of the team and CB-related topics
- Develop operational processes and tasks
- Oversee contractual management of CBs
- Onboard and off-board CBs
- Develop agendas for CB community engagement
- Review quarterly calls and annual meetings
- Manage CB Portal development and functioning
- Develop KPIs for CB performance
- Recommend measures to improve FSC certification quality
- Ensure consistent CB capacity building
- Serve as primary contact for CB concerns
- Maintain ties with major CBs
- Initiate normative changes
- Provide input on technical improvements for FSC tools
- Oversee communication processes for CB scope of work
- Report CB performance and stakeholder relations to the Board
- Prepare items for Board decision
