As the People Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and operational foundations of Root. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve building effective hiring processes, supporting team growth, and ensuring a high-performing, human-centered organization as it scales across Europe.

Requirements

• •2+ years of experience in People, Talent, Operations, or fast-paced environments
• •People-centric and business-savvy personality
• •Hands-on mentality and adaptability in fast-changing environments
• •Fluency in German and English

Tasks

• •Collaborate with the leadership team to build the People function
• •Drive and own programs that support team member success
• •Design systems to maintain a high-performing, human-centered organization
• •Refine the full OKR cycle for alignment and accountability
• •Shape feedback cycles, compensation structures, and career paths
• •Act as a trusted partner for staff, implementing feedback mechanisms
• •Run full-cycle recruitment for key roles, ensuring a great candidate experience
• •Establish scalable hiring processes and employer branding initiatives
• •Partner with hiring managers to forecast needs and design org structures
• •Manage People Ops workflows, including contracts and onboarding
• •Ensure compliance and reliability of People operations across Europe
• •Use data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and improve processes
