Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • •Master’s degree or PhD is a plus
  • •Seasoned experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • •Knowledge of CAD software
  • •Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using ANSYS
  • •Proven track record of developing and launching successful mechanical designs
  • •Demonstrated experience in solving complex problems

Tasks

  • •Develop innovative mechanical designs for complex engineering problems
  • •Conduct structural mechanical analysis on first wall components
  • •Perform finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS software
  • •Execute Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations
  • •Conduct thermal analysis with multi-physics engineering simulations
  • •Interpret experimental results related to heat exchange and temperature effects
  • •Calculate dynamic temperature changes on the first wall from x-ray and particle irradiation
