Joint Operations and Contingency Planner(m/w/x)

Requirements
- 5+ years supporting military/DoD operational planning
- Experience applying Joint Planning Process (JPP)
- Experience applying Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
- Experience supporting contingency planning
- Experience supporting theater campaign planning
- Experience supporting strategic-level planning
- Knowledge of warfighting functions
- Knowledge of defense planning
- Knowledge of multi-domain operations
- Experience with planning tools and automation systems
- Experience with software and databases used by Joint Staff
- Ability to develop plans from concept to orders
- Ability to present operational concepts to senior leaders
- Ability to produce high-quality reports and briefings
- Ability to produce written products for senior military audiences
- Ability to work effectively in matrixed organizations
- Ability to support cross-functional planning teams
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years experience in EUCOM AOR challenges
- Experience developing collaborative solutions
- Experience facilitating working groups and meetings
- Completion of Military Education Level 4 Qualification Course or equivalent
- Graduate of SAMS, JAWS, SAW, SAASS, MAWS, BSAP, or ASAP
- TS/SCI clearance required
- Prohibition of AI tools during interviews unless permitted
Tasks
- Support joint and operational contingency planning
- Apply expertise in Joint Planning Process and Military Decision-Making Process
- Develop contingency plans and concepts of operations
- Create staff estimates and orders for theater and strategic objectives
- Participate in Operational Planning Teams and Joint Planning Groups
- Attend conferences, exercises, boards, bureaus, cells, and working groups
- Synchronize planning efforts across functional areas and higher headquarters
- Conduct analysis of policies, processes, and operational requirements
- Support Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Contribute to theater campaign planning and organizational assessments
- Support multi-domain operations initiatives
- Prepare and deliver high-quality briefings
- Write whitepapers and reports
- Create decision-support products for senior leaders
- Support Flag Officers, General Officers, and SES personnel
