Developing and testing EMS control strategies for battery system models, including optimization-based scheduling algorithms. Relevant engineering/CS degree and LFP battery SoX estimation experience required. Healthy canteen meals, German and Mandarin language courses.
Requirements
- Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Control Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Good understanding of renewable power/energy systems and battery operation
- Solid understanding of optimization concepts for algorithm development
- Experience with Python, Modelica, or equivalent modeling and simulation environments
- Experience in SoX estimation approaches for LFP batteries
- Familiarity with optimization or AI/ML frameworks
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Tasks
- Extend battery system models and controllers
- Develop and test new EMS control strategies
- Design and implement optimization-based scheduling algorithms
- Benchmark optimization algorithms
- Compare optimization approaches and analyze performance
- Contribute to AI/ML modules for forecasting
- Support system validation using simulation frameworks
