Requirements

  • M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong basic engineering fundamentals
  • Robust fluid dynamics fundamentals
  • Modeling complex fluid dynamics problems
  • Experience with fluidic systems, ideally in rockets
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming language
  • Hands-on test preparation and operation
  • Robust data analysis skills
  • Preparation of post-test data reviews
  • CAD software experience (SolidWorks or Siemens NX preferred)
  • Passion for rocket propulsion and space
  • Effective collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Effective collaboration on cross-functional teams
  • Driven and eager to learn
  • Willingness to travel for hardware launching/testing
  • Fluent in English
  • Valve development experience for rocket engines
  • Hands-on testing with cryogenic fluids
  • Oxygen compatibility testing experience
  • Valve qualification experience
  • Valve certification experience (regulatory standards)
  • Knowledge of technical drawing rules
  • Knowledge of material science
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics experience
  • Experience using ECOSIM

Tasks

  • Develop fluid system subsystems

  • Define and manage subsystem requirements

  • Participate in integrated and stage testing
