- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related technical field
- Several years of professional data engineering experience

- Extensive hands-on experience designing/implementing scalable data processing jobs
- Professional experience with Azure Databricks (Delta tables, Lakebase, Lakehouse)

- Strong knowledge/experience with Microsoft Azure data stack
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory

- Proven ability to design data platforms for analytics and ML workloads
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing-related data sources
- Clear communication of complex technical topics
- Enjoyment of sharing expertise in international, interdisciplinary teams
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
- German language skills (plus)
Tasks
- Lead technical design and implementation of scalable, cost-efficient data platform
- Leverage batch and streaming technologies for machine learning and analytics
- Design, deploy, and operate robust ETL/ELT pipelines
- Process large-volume, high-velocity data from industrial sources
- Design and implement logical and physical data models for data warehouse
- Establish data quality and governance standards across pipelines
- Evaluate and select suitable data technologies and tools
- Meet business and technical requirements within Microsoft Azure ecosystem
