- Check hydraulic and fuel systems using external power
- Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective aircraft components
- Direct the work of lower-graded mechanics
- Coordinate assembly with electrical and avionics trades
- Execute other qualified duties as assigned
