- •Lead a therapeutic area focused team
- •Create and update the Enterprise portfolio strategy for the Therapeutic Area
- •Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Therapeutic Area
- •Assess peer companies with significant exposure in the Therapeutic Area
- •Educate and update internal stakeholders with external perspectives
- •Provide insights for key portfolio governance processes
- •Identify growth opportunities and reject low-value projects
- •Support Group Investor Relations and the CEO Office with strategic insights
- •Collect and synthesize scientific and commercial insights for the Therapeutic Area
- •Lead the creation and maintenance of the TA portfolio strategy
- •Identify potential pipeline gaps and recommend solutions
- •Facilitate portfolio decision-making with the Therapeutic Area Leadership team
- •Oversee assessments of program fit to current portfolio strategy
- •Facilitate central review for assets inside and outside current priorities
- •Provide commercial and development inputs for business cases
- •Offer independent views on internal pipeline assumptions
- •Lead assessments of external opportunities and forecast assumptions
- •Coach and develop top talent within the team
- •Partner with leadership to develop people strategy
- •Manage the TA strategy financial budget and forecast resource needs
