Therapeutic Area Strategy Director, Neuroscience(m/w/x)
Developing holistic neuroscience strategy and guiding pipeline development for a pharma/biotech firm. In-depth neuroscience knowledge or ability to acquire expertise required. Alignment across R&D and commercial units, with early-phase commercial insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree/equivalent experience in life science/healthcare; MBA or consulting experience highly preferred
- In-depth TA knowledge in Neuroscience or ability to acquire expertise
- High agility and capacity to support strategic DAs and multiple programs
- Substantial experience evaluating new product opportunities (M&A, BD&L, research)
- 5-7 years industry pharma/medical devices experience in R&D/commercial functions with primary research experience
- Experience in strategy development and early lifecycle asset shaping
- Recent (post 2015) local US in-market experience with US customers and systems
Tasks
- Support creation and update of holistic TA strategy
- Provide early-phase commercial insights to project teams
- Guide internal pipeline development for TA
- Identify external licensing and acquisition opportunities
- Align enterprise efforts across Biomedical Research, Development, and Commercial units
- Conduct external benchmarking and analysis
- Support TA Strategy Head in developing sustainable growth strategies
- Apply pharmaceutical industry and Neuroscience TA knowledge
- Derive competitive advantages in Neuroscience
- Offer commercial insights to R&D project teams
- Analyze reports and publications for key messages
- Build product forecasts
- Develop and deliver strategic external insights
- Identify growth opportunities and competitive challenges
- Commission targeted primary research
