Description

In this role, you will drive business growth for the Jewellery department by sourcing properties, developing client relationships, and participating in auctions. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with specialists, attending events, and promoting sales to a network of collectors and dealers.

• •5+ years of experience in auction house or jewellery
• •GIA/FGA or similar qualification
• •Fluency in English and French
• •Additional European languages

Tasks

• •Source and evaluate property for sales inclusion
• •Collaborate with specialists to set estimates and sales terms
• •Assist in developing a long-term sourcing strategy for Europe
• •Build a pipeline of property for short, mid, and long-term sales
• •Assist with major collection valuations and consignments
• •Position Phillips as a premier platform for selling jewellery
• •Liaise with Client Development to target buyers for all lots
• •Create specialized selling plans for upcoming sales
• •Participate in presale exhibitions worldwide
• •Promote and sell auctions through face-to-face client contact
• •Cultivate networks among collectors, dealers, and curators
• •Maintain best-in-class knowledge of the jewellery market
• •Produce original content for catalogues
• •Develop and expand private sales transactions
• •Attend local and regional events to represent Phillips
• •Participate in telephone bidding with clients
• •Perform other duties as requested
