Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, epidemiology, social science, or equivalent field
- Medical degree or specialized post-graduate qualification in disease area
- Management of HIV programs in international context
- In-depth HIV prevention and care knowledge and experience
- Proven track record of managing a team in dynamic context
- Strong understanding of evolving international health arena
- Knowledge and experience in technology and digital health
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to interact with stakeholders
- Strong oral communication, analytical, and writing skills
- Experience in people or team management
- 8-10 years of senior-level experience in HIV prevention and care
- Demonstrated experience writing and/or reviewing technical proposals
- Knowledge of the Global Fund and its policies
- Good publications record in analyzing data sets
- Experience working in public health for government and NGOs
- Experience in project management and delivery
- Ability to manage complex multi-partner initiatives
- Excellent knowledge of English and good working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese
Tasks
- Drive the Global Fund’s HIV Prevention and Care agenda
- Develop impactful strategies and guidance for HIV prevention
- Lead HIV Prevention reviews and data analysis
- Enhance the quality and performance of prevention investments
- Provide strategic advice on investments across the HIV care cascade
- Monitor scientific and programmatic developments in HIV
- Develop prevention-specific guidance for the grant life-cycle
- Ensure cross-departmental alignment on HIV prevention priorities
- Promote joint alignment with external partners on HIV prevention
- Engage in the Global Fund’s Strategic Initiative for catalytic investments
- Lead capacity building and learning efforts within the HIV team
- Contribute to the development of reports and advocacy materials
- Perform people management responsibilities for the HIV team
- Support day-to-day management of the HIV team
- Develop Terms of References for consultants and supervise their work
