Requirements
- 3+ years experience in nonprofit, academic, or corporate setting (event management, fundraising, CRM, communication, or project management)
- Documented experience in successful, independent event organisation
- Degree level education or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or equivalent design software
- Full fluency in English
- Intermediate German language proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills and welcoming attitude

Tasks
- Organize gala events
- Coordinate Friends of EMBL events
- Plan Corporate Partnership Programme events
- Manage major donor cultivation events
- Organize campaign-related events
- Arrange internal engagement events
- Coordinate donor and prospective donor visits
- Conceive event programs with strategic goals
- Tailor events to donor motivations and expectations
- Liaise with internal departments for event logistics
- Coordinate with external contacts and senior volunteers
- Manage invitations and RSVPs for non-ORD events
- Use CRM to manage invitation lists
- Record event-related information
- Monitor event effectiveness with KPIs
- Gather systematic event feedback
- Coordinate stewardship plan implementation
- Engage and deepen relationships with supporters
- Provide tailored stewardship to major donors
- Acknowledge and recognize donor support
- Prepare impact reports and stewardship communications
