Requirements
- Experience in high precision geodetic/industrial metrology
- Initial experience in coordination, planning, reporting, quality assurance
- Knowledge of high accuracy survey methods and tools
- Use of total stations and 3D laser scanning
- Knowledge of standard adjustment software
- Knowledge of data acquisition and processing software
- Organisation, planning, control, supervision of work
- Spoken and written English or French, learn other language
- National of CERN Member/Associate Member State
- Max 2 years professional experience post-graduation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Industrial Metrology or related field
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract
- University degree required
- PhD not eligible
- Valid driving licence
Tasks
- Participate in high-precision alignment system design
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary HI-ECN3 project team
- Prepare and verify input data for beamline trajectories
- Check installation drawings and component geometries
- Conduct 3D geometrical measurements using laser trackers
- Provide technical support for equipment owners
- Perform network measurements and installation tasks
- Execute alignment processes from preparation to completion
- Process data using 3D least-squares adjustment software
- Prepare technical documentation and present results
- Contribute to alignment monitoring system research
- Develop, test, and maintain in-house surveying software
