Requirements
- •Degree in electrical engineering, power systems or related technical field
- •Basic knowledge of power system equipment and electrical protection principles
- •Motivation to learn commissioning practices in HV/LV environments
- •Strong analytical mindset, communication skills and willingness to work in field environments
- •Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French
- •National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •Valid driving licence

- •Lead commissioning for HV and LV switchgears
- •Test transformers and circuit breakers
- •Commission UPS and 48 V DC systems
- •Validate protection relays and secondary injections
- •Prepare commissioning procedures and test plans
- •Draft risk assessments for electrical installations
- •Perform logic validation and SCADA communication tests
- •Verify interlocking functionality across systems
- •Identify and resolve technical commissioning issues
- •Define and implement necessary corrective actions
- •Coordinate with project teams and external suppliers
- •Produce detailed commissioning reports
- •Integrate technical data into documentation systems
