- •Background in control engineering, mathematics, robotics or computer science
- •Strong skills in linear algebra and optimisation
- •Ability to assimilate information across broad domains
- •Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- •Advantageous knowledge of automated software testing
- •Strong mathematical skills in kinematics and optimisation
- •Good knowledge of Python
- •Initial experience with C++
- •Advantageous experience of Gitlab CI
- •Spoken and written English or French
- •Commitment to learn basic English or French
- •National of CERN Member or Associate State
- •Maximum two years of professional experience
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •Mandatory University degree
- •No PhD qualification

- •Develop a kinematic simulation for magnets and beam elements
- •Create and maintain a simulation-based test suite
- •Support continuous integration and virtual commissioning of control software
- •Develop real-time control software using the FESA framework
- •Build database-driven engineering tools for system configuration
