Requirements

  • •Experience in Electrical Engineering or related
  • •Experience with HV/LV equipment and relays
  • •Experience in testing electrical systems
  • •Operation and maintenance of electrical circuits
  • •Construction and commissioning of electrical networks
  • •Organisation, planning, and supervision of works
  • •Independent work and commissioning task management
  • •Problem-solving, communication, and field-work readiness
  • •English proficiency and commitment to learn French
  • •National of CERN Member State
  • •Background in Electrical Engineering or related
  • •Master's degree or PhD qualification
  • •No previous CERN fellow/graduate contract
  • •Willingness to work in Radiation Areas
  • •Readiness for underground installation interventions
  • •Valid driving licence
  • •Ability to obtain medical clearance

Work Experience

2 - 6 years

Tasks

  • •Lead or co-lead commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems
  • •Develop commissioning procedures, test plans, and risk assessments
  • •Execute advanced tests for protection logic and SCADA communication
  • •Diagnose commissioning issues and implement corrective actions
  • •Coordinate with project teams, operations, and external suppliers
  • •Produce commissioning reports and maintain technical documentation
  • •Support periodic network testing and operational activities
  • •Supervise and lead the commissioning team
