Requirements
- Medical degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent in public health, epidemiology, or infectious diseases
- Specialized post-graduate qualification in malaria
- Experience working in or with the global health community at a senior level with focus on malaria
- Experience driving performance and/or change in complex organizations
- Experience managing a large, diverse team in a complex environment
- Over 15 years’ experience in public health with a focus on malaria
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Global Fund and its partnership model
- Well-recognized publications record demonstrating clear appraisal of evidence base
- Experience leading policy negotiation discussions at an international level
- Experience developing and leading integrated people-centered programs to fight malaria
- Experience developing and executing organizational transformation to improve performance
- Excellent knowledge of English and preferably good working knowledge of French

- Set the vision and strategy for malaria elimination
- Leverage Global Fund investments to shape the malaria health agenda
- Ensure equitable and impactful investments for underserved populations
- Operationalize strategies in line with Global Fund processes
- Provide solutioning advice and practical recommendations
- Support people-centered malaria investments for maximum impact
- Drive partnerships to reduce malaria mortality and incidence
- Contribute to health systems integration and sustainability
- Lead market shaping for malaria results
- Introduce and scale technical and health product innovations
- Steer partnerships to accelerate country-level impact
- Collaborate with other Global Fund domains for integrated health responses
- Enhance the quality of Global Fund investments in malaria
- Ensure collaboration with the Grant Management Division
- Identify challenges and opportunities for program quality
- Develop a motivated and effective Malaria Team
- Act as Corporate Sponsor for key partnerships
- Maintain systematic dialogue on investment and program performance
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Malaria Team
- Communicate technical evidence and strategic direction to stakeholders
- Advise Global Fund Country Teams as needed
