Data Center Operations Analyst(m/w/x)
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of a data center, ensuring efficient management of tasks and resources while driving improvements in processes and technology. You will also play a key role in incident management and stakeholder communications.
Requirements
- Experience in data center operations management
- Experience managing planning, hardware installation, configuration, optimization, operations, and maintenance of data center
- Holistic experience overseeing systems performance and vendor management
- Experience in capacity planning and assessments for data center
- Good knowledge of data center facilities and infrastructure
- Experience managing vendors in a data center environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task
- General documentation skills with emphasis on technical processes
- Knowledge and experience in ITIL process methodologies
- Proven ability to function in ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication, customer focus, problem solving, conflict management, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Deep passion for sustainability and compliance
- Some travel required domestically and internationally
- Self-motivated and positive with passion for developing new skills
Tasks
- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center engineers
- Manage performance of data center operations across Switzerland
- Ensure effective management of day-to-day data center operations
- Oversee queue management and 24/7 shift arrangements
- Coordinate hardware logistics for data center operations
- Serve as a subject matter expert in data center operations and DCIM integrations
- Measure and meet all operational KPIs and metrics
- Report key metrics to peer teams
- Inspire and guide improvements in team processes and technology innovation
- Manage large-scale events and incident communications to executive stakeholders
- Build and manage workflows for data center operations
- Understand critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure
- Recommend and document policies to meet industry best practices and SLAs
- Maintain the on-call schedule, coordinating absences and vacations
- Strive to improve the quality and quantity of services provided
