Developing sourcing strategies and supply pipelines for used, new, and surplus batteries on a B2B marketplace for battery reuse/recycling. Comfort with battery fundamentals and B2B agreement negotiation skills essential. Structured tracking in CRM and sourcing tools.
Anforderungen
- 3-8+ years experience in business development, sourcing, procurement, or origination (batteries, automotive, energy storage, electronics, recycling, industrial supply chains)
- Proven ability to negotiate and close B2B agreements
- Strong commercial skills (pricing, risk assessment, contract terms, relationship management)
- Comfort with battery fundamentals and fit-for-purpose thinking
- High process discipline (documentation, traceability, pipeline hygiene)
- Experience sourcing used EV or industrial lithium-ion batteries at scale
- Familiarity with testing/grading approaches (SoH estimation, impedance/OCV, diagnostic data)
- Understanding of dangerous goods logistics and cross-border constraints
- Existing network in automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, cell makers, recyclers, battery service ecosystems
- Experience with ESG/sustainability stakeholders and circular economy programs
Aufgaben
- Develop sourcing strategies for new, used, and surplus batteries
- Identify and approach supply partners
- Map decision-makers across various teams
- Create a qualified supply pipeline with clear attributes
- Maintain structured tracking in CRM and sourcing tools
- Qualify supply streams for technical and commercial viability
- Define acceptance and inspection criteria with internal teams
- Assess supplier reliability, capacity, and quality processes
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing and terms
- Structure appropriate agreements for each battery category
- Collaborate with legal on contracts and liability
- Collaborate with sales operations on logistics and operations
- Ensure safe and compliant transport and storage
- Align supply with sales demand and customer requirements
- Support issue resolution with suppliers
- Monitor market pricing and battery availability
- Track regulatory changes impacting battery movement
- Provide sourcing insights for product and sales strategy
