Business Developer(m/w/x)
Developing supply partnerships for used EV and energy storage batteries on a B2B marketplace. 3-8+ years in sourcing or procurement for battery/industrial supply chains required. Flexible working hours, hybrid remote model.
Anforderungen
- 3-8+ years in business development, sourcing, procurement, or origination (batteries, automotive, energy storage, electronics, recycling, industrial supply chains)
- Proven ability to negotiate and close B2B agreements with senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial skills (pricing, risk assessment, contract terms, relationship management)
- Comfortability with battery fundamentals and fit-for-purpose thinking
- High process discipline (documentation, traceability, pipeline hygiene)
- Bonus: Experience sourcing used EV or industrial lithium-ion batteries at scale
- Bonus: Familiarity with testing/grading approaches (SoH estimation, impedance/OCV, diagnostic data)
- Bonus: Understanding of dangerous goods logistics and cross-border movement constraints
- Bonus: Existing network in automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, cell makers, recyclers, battery service ecosystems
- Bonus: Experience with ESG/sustainability stakeholders and circular economy programs
Aufgaben
- Build sourcing strategies by battery category.
- Identify and approach new supply partners.
- Map decision-makers across key teams.
- Create qualified supply pipelines.
- Maintain structured tracking in CRM/sourcing tools.
- Qualify supply streams for technical suitability and commercial viability.
- Coordinate with internal teams on acceptance and inspection requirements.
- Assess supplier reliability and consistency.
- Lead commercial negotiations for supply deals.
- Structure agreements appropriate to each category.
- Collaborate with legal on contracts, liability, and regulatory constraints.
- Collaborate with sales operations on logistics.
- Ensure safe and compliant transport and storage.
- Align supply with sales demand, prioritizing customer requirements.
- Support issue resolution with suppliers.
- Monitor market pricing and availability.
- Track regulatory changes impacting batteries.
- Provide sourcing insights to guide product strategy and sales positioning.
