Anforderungen
- Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Consultancy background: 5-7+ years MEP/building services design, ideally industrial/food facilities
- Contractor/design-build background: 7-10+ years delivering industrial retrofit/refurbishment projects
- Proven experience managing alterations, upgrades, brownfield projects, preferably in distribution centers/food facilities
- Strong understanding of MEP systems for industrial buildings, particularly HVAC, cooling, utilities, energy systems
- Solid knowledge of building regulations, permitting, construction best practices on international projects
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, Google Workspace, MS Office
- Structured, self-directed working style, ability to identify blockers and escalate with recommendations
- Clear, pragmatic communicator, able to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Additional languages (German, French, or Dutch) advantageous
- Willingness to travel frequently and work internationally
- Experience in design-build or general contracting environments
- Exposure to sustainability, energy optimization, operational efficiency upgrades in industrial buildings
- Familiarity with operating in live, high-throughput facilities with controlled downtime
Aufgaben
- Deliver retrofit, refurbishment, and alteration projects in international distribution centers
- Support Property team with strong project management and MEP expertise
- Minimize operational disruption during project execution
- Manage MEP and architectural design process for upgrades and extensions
- Serve as primary technical liaison between internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate design reviews and technical decision-making
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in brownfield environments
- Review and validate MEP and architectural designs by external consultants
- Optimize designs for cost, constructability, maintainability, and future flexibility
- Challenge over-engineering and support value engineering
- Conduct site inspections, design audits, and commissioning activities
- Manage design-to-budget and support tender evaluations
- Control cost impacts from design changes
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, food safety standards, and sustainability targets
