- Extensive experience in media sales, distribution, and business development
- Proven track record in driving ad sales and distribution revenues
- Extensive experience in negotiating streaming partnerships
- Established relationships with key agencies and media executives in the German speaking region
- In-depth understanding of the German-speaking market
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with ability to optimize sales and distribution performance
- Goal-oriented, solutions-driven leader
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German
Tasks
- Lead ad sales strategy in German-speaking markets
- Collaborate with Ad Sales JV and external sales reps to maximize revenue
- Assess market conditions and adapt sales strategies
- Identify new sales opportunities for Discovery+ and DAI/DAS
- Contribute to the Cluster Leadership Team
- Develop distribution strategies for traditional and digital platforms
- Negotiate carriage agreements with MVPDs and OTT platforms
- Identify new distribution opportunities for Discovery+
- Maintain relationships with key distribution partners
- Collaborate with content, marketing, and finance teams
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes
- Inspire and mentor a high-performing distribution team
- Manage projects related to digital advertising and monetization
- Act as Platform and Product Owner for websites and CTV Apps
- Collaborate with marketing teams for digital advertising growth
- Liaise with ad-tech partners to enhance ad-buying options
- Focus on holistic revenue opportunities for digital products
- Partner with Ad Sales Representatives and Development Agencies
- Test and document product changes in the Munich office
- Manage live-sport ads via dynamic ad insertion
- Track budget for Digital GSA
