Vibration and Acoustic Test Engineer(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar
• Experience in aerospace hardware qualification testing
• Experience performing structure-related qualification tests
• Experience with vibration and shock test equipment
• Experience selecting appropriate transducers and cables
• Understanding of Aerospace test standards
• Familiarity with time and frequency data processing
• Experience in test documentation and reporting
• Knowledge of vibration and shock fixture design
• Knowledge of material strength and structural dynamics
• Ability to perform in high-stress environments
• Adaptability to changing work environments
• Quality and safety mindset with attention to detail
• Active and open constructive communication
• Fluency in English
• Experience in vibration isolation and force testing
• Experience using FEM tools for test analysis
• Enjoyment of hands-on technical activities
• Eligibility for security clearance

Tasks

• Perform dynamic shock and vibration tests
• Conduct acoustic tests for components and subsystems
• Support development teams at vibration test facilities
• Participate in testing at external facilities
• Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and launch vehicle teams
• Operate parts under simulated flight conditions
• Identify failure modes and necessary improvements
• Assess test requirements with development teams
• Prepare test processes and provide internal consultancy
• Perform test trade-offs and recommend minimum testing
• Validate numerical models for noise and structural dynamics
• Develop passive and active noise control solutions
• Develop or procure new test equipment
• Plan, execute, and report on tests
• Process and analyze test data
• Maintain internal test standards and procedures
• Improve test facilities to increase launch cadence
