Defining Grid and Substation Automation solutions for power systems transformation. 5+ years technical presales experience in energy required. Company car for private use, 6 weeks vacation.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in power systems, grid infrastructure, SCADA, and offshore energy technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions architecture, or field application engineering within energy, power systems, or industrial automation
- Solid understanding of power systems, grid infrastructure, SCADA, and related energy technologies
- Proven ability to translate customer business needs into robust technical solutions, verbally and in writing
- Experience with proposal development, solution design, and technical documentation
- Exposure to renewable energy, substation automation systems, and offshore wind applications
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 20%)
- Proactive, self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and customer-centric approach
Tasks
- Partner with sales, customers, and engineering teams
- Understand customer needs and technical challenges
- Define optimal Grid Automation and Substation Automation solutions
- Deliver high-impact technical presentations
- Conduct demonstrations and workshops
- Articulate solution value, differentiation, and benefits
- Design tailored technical proposals
- Develop architectures and solution concepts
- Act as a trusted technical authority
- Address technical questions confidently
- Mitigate customer concerns
- Support deal closure
- Support proof-of-concepts (PoCs)
- Support pilot projects
- Ensure technical excellence in PoCs and pilots
- Capture customer feedback and market insights
- Contribute to product evolution and innovation
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies
- Monitor competitor developments
- Contribute to sales collateral creation
- Create technical documentation
- Develop division-of-work definitions
- Create training materials
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders
