System & Zonal Safety Engineer(m/w/x)
Conducting fault hazard, common cause, and zonal analyses for aircraft systems at a multi-industry engineering firm. Advanced knowledge in aviation safety engineering and aircraft systems required. Individually tailored training program.
Requirements
- Relevant completed degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautics, or comparable field
- Subject-specific additional qualifications
- Appropriate knowledge and experience in areas of responsibility
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Safety and Reliability Engineering in aviation
- Advanced knowledge in Aircraft Systems
- Advanced knowledge of Safety processes, regulations, and guidelines (ARP 4761, ARP 4754A)
- Target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn new things
- Ability to perform several System safety tasks in parallel
- Team player with good communication skills
- Organized and autonomous person
- Very good written and spoken English & German
- Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
Tasks
- Generate and review Safety Assessments and Analyses for Aircraft Systems
- Conduct Fault Hazard Analyses, Preliminary System Safety Assessments, and Safety Assessments
- Perform Common Cause Analyses, including Particular Risk Analyses and Zonal Safety Analysis
- Support System Design Teams and suppliers to meet safety objectives
- Generate and manage safety-derived requirements throughout the development life cycle
- Review Continued Airworthiness instructions to ensure safety compliance for the In-Service fleet
- Establish safety analyses for aircraft systems during and after certification
- Determine specific safety requirements for system developments or modifications
- Manage inputs and outputs from interfacing technical domains and technologies
