- Excitement/comfort in defining/scaling engineering/customer solutions
- Crossplane experience (highly preferred)
- Active involvement/contribution to upstream Kubernetes community
- History of speaking at conferences, blogging, and/or open source contributions
- Experience in startup/distributed/remote teams and understanding challenges
- Current CKA or CKAD certification
Tasks
- Partner with the pre-sales team to transition customers smoothly
- Understand customer environments and requirements
- Identify customer platform needs
- Design architecture and solutions
- Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane technology in production environments
- Perform technical discovery
- Scope customer engagements
- Author Statements of Work
- Troubleshoot and solve customer technical challenges
- Support deployment of Crossplane and Upbound Cloud architectures
- Write code to improve customer deployments
- Fix bugs in Upbound products and Crossplane
- Build scoped features for Upbound and Crossplane
- Build and maintain cloud native reference platforms
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to resolve complex issues
- Act as the technical voice for customers
- Represent customer needs internally
- Influence the product roadmap
- Advise customers as a trusted technical expert
- Identify and present ongoing technical solutions
