Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in suspension development and tuning
  • Proven subjective evaluation skills in ride and handling
  • Clear understanding of suspension design and K&C principles
  • Knowledge and experience in a Premium European OEM
  • Full valid B driving license with dynamic vehicle control ability
  • Willingness for frequent travel to test locations
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving mentality
  • Very good command of English and intercultural communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel

Tasks

  • Test and develop ride and handling performance attributes
  • Evaluate and benchmark ride comfort and handling characteristics
  • Verify and tune chassis systems, including K&C characteristics and shock absorbers
  • Define performance targets for new vehicle projects at full vehicle, system, and component levels
  • Identify and implement latest market and technology trends and development tools
  • Plan and execute projects to optimize budget and resource usage
  • Document and report project and development results
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and the R&D Center in Namyang, South Korea
