(Sr.) Engineer for Chassis Controls Engineering Design(m/w/x)
Designing and simulating active suspension controls for next-gen autonomous vehicles. 2-3 years automotive industry experience and suspension control algorithm modeling required. Work on pioneering autonomous vehicle technology.
Requirements
- Degree in Control, Mechanical and/or Automotive Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional automotive industry experience ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Solid knowledge of control theory, vehicle dynamics, and real-time embedded systems
- Experience in modeling and tuning of control algorithms for active and/or semi-active suspension systems
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for dynamic modeling and control simulation
- Good market knowledge of chassis controls technologies and requirements
- Strong proactive attitude and innovative mind with a strategic, organized, but very flexible working style
- Analytical thinker with clear, output driven communication and strong deadline driven performance
- Willing to travel frequently, good level of English in speech and writing, in possession of valid European driver license B
Tasks
- Develop active control strategies for suspension systems
- Implement and validate algorithms for active suspension
- Design and simulate advanced suspension control strategies
- Optimize trade-offs between ride comfort and energy consumption
- Maintain vehicle and suspension models
- Perform control design and validation using MATLAB/Simulink
- Conduct simulation studies for various road scenarios
- Ensure compliance with automotive software standards
- Support vehicle testing activities
- Analyze test data and refine control strategies
- Collaborate with vehicle dynamics, mechanical, and software teams
- Document control concepts and test results for stakeholders
