(Sr.) ENGINEER OTA SW VALIDATION(m/w/x)
Integrating and validating full-vehicle over-the-air software update capabilities for Hyundai, Kia, Genesis architectures. 5+ years automotive software validation experience, over-the-air update systems expertise needed. Work with CAN, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP, and OTA server infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years automotive software validation experience (OTA systems focus)
- Strong knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP
- Hands-on experience with OTA server infrastructure, update orchestration, cybersecurity
- Familiarity with vehicle-level integration and validation (DVP&R)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and reporting skills
- Very good command of English, intercultural, and communication skills
Tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define OTA capabilities.
- Integrate OTA capabilities across Hyundai, Kia, Genesis architectures.
- Ensure seamless functionality for full-vehicle OTA updates.
- Ensure seamless functionality for remote OTA in various modes.
- Validate full-vehicle OTA systems.
- Validate remote updates in factory, transport, and customer modes.
- Develop DVP&R plans for OTA functionality.
- Execute DVP&R plans for OTA functionality.
- Ensure compliance with UNECE R155 and R156 requirements.
- Validate CAN and Ethernet communication for OTA data.
- Troubleshoot OTA integration issues.
- Document project and development results.
- Present project and development results to stakeholders.
- Validate OTA server interactions.
- Validate in-vehicle update scheduling.
- Validate OTA package integrity.
- Validate OTA rollback mechanisms.
- Perform root cause analysis for OTA issues.
- Implement corrective actions for OTA issues.
- Contribute to project planning for efficient resource use.
- Plan projects to optimize budget, resources, and timeframe.
