Technical planning and execution for on-site and off-site events at a biotechnology company, including post-event documentation for podcasts and films. Requirements
- Apprenticeship as event technology specialist (event/media technician) or several years professional experience in event industry
- State-recognized degree in media/event technology or comparable qualification
- Strong knowledge of audio and video technology
- Desirable experience with LED video technology and controllers
- Basic understanding of media, IT, and network technology
- Advantageous additional qualification as electrician for portable equipment
- Ideal prior experience in managing hybrid events
- Familiarity with lighting systems (a plus)
- High willingness to learn and implement new software/tools
- Ability to work independently, results-oriented, structured approach
- Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
- Confident, professional demeanor, sensitivity in interactions
- Commitment to high-quality standards and strong service orientation
- Resilience and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Advantageous proficiency in additional European language
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
- Possession of valid Class B driver’s license
Tasks
- Act as the technical point of contact for events.
- Plan technical resources for events.
- Manage event timelines.
- Execute events on-site and off-site.
- Document post-event projects (e.g., AMA sessions, podcasts, films).
- Assemble, set up, and dismantle event equipment.
- Operate media and broadcast technology.
- Manage technical equipment and event setups for events.
- Oversee maintenance, care, and repair of technology.
- Act as central contact for event operations.
- Provide customer care and communication for national and international clients.
- Support small technical projects.
- Set up conference equipment.
- Liaise between event planning and technical teams.
- Link internal departments for event execution.
- Develop skills in audio, video, staging, and networking.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
