Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering
- Knowledge of embedded software, systems
- Proven technical leadership
- Clear verbal and written English communication
- Expert software architecture knowledge and experience
- Experience with design methods (e.g. UML or SysML)
- Modelling tools and languages
- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE, SWE.2)
- Requirements analysis
- Comprehensive and concise documentation ability
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Many years of product development, embedded software, connectivity technologies experience
- Hands-on C++ experience
- Good understanding of Linux OS kernel and user space
- Experience in (embedded) Linux
- High-level technology grasp and customer wish understanding
- Experience with infotainment systems
- Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
- Competent in Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering (ISO 21434)
- Competent in TARA methodologies
- Knowledge of cryptography applications in automotive ecosystem
- Knowledge of secure coding standards
- Experience in AUTOSAR, especially with AP, is a plus
- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE, SWE.1 & SWE.2)
- Willingness to travel (20% of the time)
- Willingness to work in an office, hybrid model
- Successfully complete background investigation and drug screen
Tasks
- Define end-to-end software architecture for telematic units
- Coordinate software architecture with requirements engineering
- Collaborate with system architects on overall software architecture
- Translate architecture into individual components
- Oversee implementation for high-quality software delivery
- Act as primary technical interface to the customer
- Ensure process adherence (ASPICE or equivalent)
- Identify reusable core assets with product engineering
- Define software design strategy for your area
- Identify architectural constraints based on requirements
- Decompose constraints to lower architectural levels
- Develop software architecture for your assigned level
- Define and verify interfaces to related SW elements
- Describe and verify dynamic behavior between SW elements
- Analyze customer requirements from RFQ/RFI phase
- Map requirements to existing architecture
- Extend architecture based on requirements
- Analyze non-functional requirements
- Address architecturally relevant non-functional requirements
- Ensure traceability with system architecture
- Ensure consistency with software requirements
- Recommend implementation standards
- Recommend design patterns for security and compliance
- Document key technical requirements for Telematic Software
- Identify and understand customer architectural requirements
- Contribute to Cybersecurity project efforts
- Support Cybersecurity Manager in developing work products
- Represent the project for Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)
- Make risk treatment decisions
- Derive security requirements from TARA
- Maintain cybersecurity concept requirements specification
- Support RFI/RFQ response on cybersecurity activities
