Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CS, IT, or Business Admin
- Strong software project management experience (Waterfall, Agile)
- Experience with complex embedded systems (connectivity/telematics ECUs)
- Ability to break down complex systems
- Proven leadership in matrix environments (10+ team members)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, decision-making skills
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE® or CMMI frameworks
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP, PMI-ACP)
- Automotive industry experience (connectivity, telematics, embedded)
- Experience delivering programs at Automotive SPICE Level 2+
- Background in embedded Linux, modem integration, mobile telecom, or RF systems
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic/international)
- Willingness to work in Harman office (Germany/Romania)
- Successful background investigation and drug screen
- Clean driving record (no more than 4 active points, no DUI in 10 years)
Tasks
- Drive delivery of Stratus NAD software platform
- Lead and coordinate software lifecycle activities
- Ensure delivery meets schedule, budget, and quality
- Serve as primary software interface for customers
- Engineer audio systems and integrated platforms
- Support delivery of next-gen telematics platforms
- Ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
- Represent software program in reviews and meetings
- Plan, monitor, and control NAD software lifecycle
- Integrate 4G/5G/RedCap/NB-NTN modem technologies
- Implement 3GPP-compliant telephony and data services
- Manage SIM/eSIM (eUICC, RSP profiles)
- Develop Linux-based NAD platform services
- Integrate GNSS and positioning services
- Implement FOTA/LOTA update frameworks
- Develop secure OTA workflows
- Implement diagnostics (UDS/DoIP) and logging
- Monitor system health
- Develop cybersecurity modules
- Implement secure boot, encryption, and PKI
- Coordinate software maturity gate readiness
- Ensure work products meet quality standards
- Drive cross-domain integration activities
- Triage, prioritize, and close defects
- Orchestrate global virtual teams across disciplines
- Ensure alignment across requirements, design, and deliverables
- Collaborate with suppliers for software integration
- Define and deploy project-specific software processes
- Align processes with HARMAN PLM300 and SPICE
- Track compliance with lifecycle processes and audits
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues
- Create and maintain NAD software milestone schedule
- Synchronize schedule with program and customer timelines
- Provide transparent program status updates
- Lead software readiness reviews for releases
