Requirements

  • Background in theoretical and experimental physics
  • Expertise in superconducting quantum circuits
  • Background in cryogenic microwave engineering
  • Strong background in software engineering
  • Problem solving and technical leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineers
  • PhD in Physics or equivalent experience
  • Experience in quantum hardware or R&D
  • Experience with quantum error correction
  • Leadership in multi-project environments
  • Relevant publications or technical presentations
  • Experience with nonstandard readout architectures

Tasks

  • Advance readout and reset techniques for superconducting quantum computers
  • Research and improve mid-circuit and terminal readout performance
  • Support calibration automation and benchmarking workflows
  • Develop calibration routines for measurement operations
  • Characterize near-quantum-limited parametric amplifiers
  • Design and optimize qubit reset protocols for QEC
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and lead cross-team resolutions
  • Provide structured feedback on QPU quality to fabrication teams
  • Advise system engineering teams on readout hardware
  • Mentor quantum engineers at the project and team level
  • Perform regular calibration activities across device architectures
  • Document and report results for technical and non-technical stakeholders
