- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills for explaining theory
- Experience collaborating with experimental physicists or engineers
- Experience supervising students or leading research
- Knowledge of optimal control or machine learning techniques
Tasks
- Develop theoretical and numerical models for superconducting quantum processors
- Analyze and optimize quantum gate operations
- Optimize qubit reset and readout processes
- Model coherent and incoherent error sources
- Perform analytical and numerical calculations using Python
- Contribute to modeling and simulation software development
- Analyze measurement and characterization data from fabricated devices
- Participate in cross-team projects
- Collaborate with experimental and engineering teams
- Coordinate theory and simulation work with the team
- Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation
- Write comprehensive technical reports
- Support and mentor team members in theoretical approaches
- Support and mentor collaborators in theoretical approaches
