Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in relevant field
- ≥8 years in photonic device characterization
- Proven track record in optical & RF probe stations
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Thin-film lithium niobate device physics
- High-speed optical modulation principles
- Photodiode characterization principles
- Measurement instrumentation expertise
- Calibration methods for optical and RF systems
- Automation scripting in Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB
- Data acquisition systems experience
- Familiarity with cleanroom processes
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
Tasks
- Oversee daily characterization activities for quality results.
- Design and maintain optical and RF test setups.
- Interface with design teams to understand testing needs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to provide performance insights.
- Schedule characterization campaigns to meet project milestones.
- Mentor junior engineers on testing and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with lab safety and equipment protocols.
