- Experience handling litigation matters post-bar exam as an asset
- Perfect command of English
- Perfect command of French
- Working knowledge of German
- Perfect command of German as an asset
- Affinity with innovation and banking & finance law
- Understanding of related legislation
- Proficiency assessing legal risks
- Keen understanding of business implications
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong communication skills across functions and stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently as trusted legal advisor
- Engaging collaboratively with stakeholders
Tasks
- Lead complex litigation matters and complaints
- Formulate and recommend dispute resolution strategies
- Retain responsibility for coordinated conduct of disputes
- Align internally and instruct external counsel
- Represent the Bank in court proceedings
- Structure, draft, and negotiate contracts
- Focus on securities trading documentation
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal aspects
- Guide on innovative banking services and new technologies
- Provide strategic, risk-based, business-oriented solutions
- Prepare legal research on banking and financial law
- Monitor regulatory changes
- Draft, implement, and review internal policies and procedures
