Technical leadership for embedded software sub-projects on complex electronic systems for aerospace. Solid knowledge of aerospace software processes (DO-178C) advantageous. Home office option, additional days off.

Requirements

  • Technical university degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
  • Expertise with RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, QNX, etc.)
  • Familiarity with computer networks, ideally Ethernet-based, and multi-core platforms
  • Solid knowledge of software processes in aerospace (DO-178C, DO-330) or space (e.g. ECSS-E-ST-40C, NPR 7150.2C) is advantageous
  • Commitment to teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Lateral leadership skills and solution-oriented working
  • Very good command of English, beneficial German skills

Tasks

  • Take technical leadership of software sub-projects
  • Define and plan software work packages with stakeholders
  • Break down work packages into tasks
  • Specify and review software requirements
  • Design software and system architectures
  • Improve technical solutions and work procedures
  • Support software certification and qualification
  • Represent the engineering team to auditors and authorities
  • Define, plan, and steer software verification
  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams
  • Support user documentation creation
  • Provide technical expertise to customer service and sales teams
